CULT OF THE AMATEURHow Today226;A?™s Internet Is Killing Our CultureBy Andrew Keen228 pages. Keen wanders off his subject in the later chapters of the book 226;A? to deliver some generic, moralistic rants against Internet evils like online gambling and online pornography 226;A? he writes with acuity and passion about the consequences of a world in which the lines between fact and opinion, informed expertise and amateurish speculation are willfully blurred. The crowd created the tech bubble of the 1990s, just as it created the disastrous Tulipmania that swept the Netherlands in the 17th century. Keen also points out that Google search results 226;A? which answer 226;A?œsearch queries not with what is most true or most reliable, but merely what is most popular226;A?A? 226;A? can be manipulated by 226;A?œGoogle bombing226;A?A? (which 226;A?œinvolves simply linking a large number of sites to a certain page226;A?A? to 226;A?œraise the ranking of any given site in Google226;A?™s search results226;A?A?). Keen notes, it226;A?™s easy for misinformation and rumors to proliferate in cyberspace. Wikipedia (which relies upon volunteer editors and contributors) gets way more traffic than the Web site run by Encyclopedia Britannica (which relies upon experts and scholars), even though the interactive format employed by Wikipedia opens it to postings that are inaccurate, unverified, even downright fraudulent. http://freeimghost.trafflow.com/imgmov/1/th63.jpghttp://freeimghost.trafflow.com/imgmov/1/th9.jpg http://freeimghost.trafflow.com/imgmov/1/th56.jpghttp://freeimghost.trafflow.com/imgmov/1/th158.jpg http://freeimghost.trafflow.com/imgmov/1/th90.jpghttp://freeimghost.trafflow.com/imgmov/1/th137.jpg http://freeimghost.trafflow.com/imgmov/1/th147.jpghttp://freeimghost.trafflow.com/imgmov/1/th61.jpg http://freeimghost.trafflow.com/imgmov/1/th148.jpghttp://freeimghost.trafflow.com/imgmov/1/th89.jpg http://freeimghost.trafflow.com/imgmov/1/th118.jpghttp://freeimghost.trafflow.com/imgmov/1/th38.jpg http://freeimghost.trafflow.com/imgmov/1/th47.jpghttp://freeimghost.trafflow.com/imgmov/1/th135.jpg http://freeimghost.trafflow.com/imgmov/2/tm130.jpghttp://freeimghost.trafflow.com/imgmov/2/tm49.jpg http://freeimghost.trafflow.com/imgmov/2/tm44.jpghttp://freeimghost.trafflow.com/imgmov/2/tm84.jpg http://freeimghost.trafflow.com/imgmov/2/tm15.jpghttp://freeimghost.trafflow.com/imgmov/2/tm109.jpg http://freeimghost.trafflow.com/imgmov/2/tm12.jpghttp://freeimghost.trafflow.com/imgmov/2/tm26.jpg Later radio telescopes and radio interferometers showed that Sgr A was an extended source in that direction, but a much smaller part of it seemed to be actually right at the center of the galaxy. Furthermore, it seems to vary in fairly short time periods, indicating that it is quite small. While visual light telescopes have trouble seeing through all the dust and gas in the galaxy, infrared telescopes can do much better. This tells us that there is something with a mass of nearly three million times the mass of the Sun located right at that spot. We dont actually see anything there, but we know that the mass is there. Given the small size and huge mass, we believe that Sgr A*, the center of the galaxy, is a supermassive black hole. Nothing can be seen of the galactic center with amateur instruments. Only if someone had a radio telescope aimed at the center of the galaxy would anything at all be detected. I feel could actually hold a candle to pretty much anything Ive ever had from a bakery. I was so excited taking it out of the oven, it just looked beautiful, and the taste - wow. This is a great recipe and definitely worth a try (in my admittedly not-too-experienced opinion)! I couldnt believe how good the crust looked when I took the loaves out, and the chew was amazing as well. I havent made this recipe for some time but seeing yours makes me want to make it again soon. I have to say your loaves look fantastic, and I cant see anything wrong with the crumb. As to the oops, I know you will hear from many members that the scrapings on the jar are enough to save your starter - just add water and flour. Isnt the singing crust enough to make you dance and sing? I havent done that yet but who knows what tomorrow will bring. If it tasted good (and I bet it did) whos going to complain about the holes. This wrapper class appears only on Page and Single Post pages. I cant imagine that anyone else would have been right for Steve in his lifetime. Steve had a connection that was built on respect, love and a mutual desire to make this world a better place for the animals on our planet. I actually loved Steve, maybe it because of the passion and enthusiasm he exhibited every time you heard him speak about animals, or maybe it is because I am an incurable romantic who hopes that that everyone could have a love like Terri and Steve. What I do know, is that this is a fantastic book, well worth reading. She honors him on every page and I can only hope that she put out another book when she has had more time to heal. But a triathlete in the off-season resigned to building her base on the dreadmill in the living room doesn't lead a very interesting life, so when stuff happens to my lobster and she says I can blog about it, dammit I think I will.
